also, I think I forgot to mention that on our walk home from dinner one evening I saw this young woman walking with an awkward gait, holding her cane. I wanted to be encouraging so when we passed her I said, bravo, and gave a thumbs up. She called out and asked, in Serbian, ‘really? You think I’m doing well?’ I said yes. We chatted briefly. She said her name is Mirjana and she asked me to take her picture. Here she is.
